The house has 2 floors, 4 bedrooms – one of which is downstairs, and all have bathrooms attached. There is also an additional bathroom on the ground floor. All the bedrooms upstairs have balconies.

Other houses in the area cater to the tourist trade.

Candolim Beach – About The Area

Candolim is a small town in the western Indian state of Goa. Standing on the shores of the Arabian Sea, it’s known for Candolim Beach and, to the north, lively Calangute Beach.

Candolim is a popular resort with British holidaymakers.  It boasts a superb beachfront location and has an uninterrupted string of wooden beach huts which line the sandy beach, offering sun loungers and parasols for hire.  There is also the opportunity to check out and taste the local cuisine or enjoy a chilled Kingfisher beer.

 

Candolim is the first beach that can be approached from the city of Panaji.   For the most part the beach is most popular with the package tourist companies.  Individual accommodation is hard to find here, but there are a few hotels with restaurants attached.

Another highlight of Candolim is the Parasailing and Water skiing facility.  It is very popular and very busy.

In the south, the sturdy walls of Aguada Fort, built in the early 1600s under Portuguese colonial rule, surround a 19th-century lighthouse.

The whitewashed, centuries-old Church of St. Lawrence stands on a nearby hill.
